We are planning for a Supermomos trip to Singapore during the week of Dec 11, 2023 - save the date! We will have friends in Singapore who will take the group to eat delicious local food at cool places such as the hawker center featured in Crazy Rich Asians! There'll also be groups checking out speakeasies and nightlife. In addition to an amazing foodie and cultural experience, meet new friends in tech & finance in Singapore, and of course, also bond with those who are on the trip together! The trip will generally be free and easy, and we'll also help to put together groups that want to travel around the rest of Southeast Asia the following week of Dec 18. Stay tuned for more :)

What Happened Last Week

Our web3 winter huddle, made possible by Love, Bonito (Leading D2C fashion brand that has raised more than $80M to-date), was a great success! Attendees enjoyed cocktails and light bites while discussing the latest web3 trends and making connections. Looking forward to the next one!

Fireside chat with Charlie O'Donnell (Founder and GP at Brooklyn Bridge Ventures) was so inspiring and insightful for the startup community, thanks to Justworks, Launch House, and Cometeer! Charlie shared that one of the most important founder traits he looks for is the ability to learn quickly!

Had another fantastic evening of creativity, learning, and community building for designers! Ate Atema (architect of the TED global offices and NYC Nature Conservancy) and Suzanne Li (Director of Product Design at a series B startup) shared their insights from designing space to product to life. We also did a poll of the panelists + audience, and 100% are in favor of the hybrid model (vs. fully remote or fully back-at-work) 🤔 Thank you, Endeavor Global, Cometeer and Newstand!

Last week, we also had many community-run events ranging from consultants meet up to gallery hopping! Watch out for more of Jen Ou's monthly Consultants socials and Kimberly Ha's artsy ones :)

Going forward, events will now "cost" 100 momos to RSVP - but you will earn them all back (and more!!) when you mark your attendance with the host/s at the event. This is to minimize flaking and increase predictability for hosts, who are so kindly putting in time and effort to give to the community! Once you reach 0 momos, you will no longer be able to RSVP for any events. You can also earn more by hosting events yourself, participating in in-app discussions, and referring friends to Supermomos!
