What Happened Last Week

Inspiring evening with Bert de Guzman (MD & Head, North America Region, UOB), Radha Amalraj (VP, Sales, Immutable), and Dr. Esuna D. (Policy Advisor, UN) at our recent AAPI industry leader event! Thank you, NUS College, National University of Singapore, for co-hosting with us! We also want to give a big shoutout to The Yard for supporting the AAPI community and making the event possible!

A big shoutout to Techstars for co-hosting 'The Double-Edged Sword for Asian Tech Founders' with us! We gained invaluable insights from Sourabh Gupta, founder of Skit.ai (conversational AI co that’s raised $50M), Poonam Vasantha Kumar, founder of Saavor, and Brian Cheung - Business & Data Reporter at NBC News! Special thank you to Gary Stewart, MD of Techstars for expertly guiding the conversation!

It was incredible to host Rachel Lim, Co-Founder and Chairwoman, and Dione Song, CEO of Love, Bonito - a D2C fashion brand that's raised over $80M to date, this past Friday! We engaged in an honest and insightful chat that covered a broad range of topics, including: how to identify great working partners, manage conflicts at work, handle relationships, and confront vulnerabilities. Here's a quick tip: When you hit a low, throw yourself a pity party. Give yourself a moment (or a few hours) to wallow and cry it out, and hit snooze if you must. But when that alarm rings out, rise up and move on with life! ☀️

Some of the community also enjoyed a glamorous evening at Gracie Mansion (with one Supermomo earning a free ticket to the private tour, worth $150, because she had the most points through her contributions to the community), followed by a culinary delight at the RH Rooftop. Saturday brought product managers together for a spirited Pride Month Celebration Brunch, and a Flushing Hotpot and Karaoke session amped up the fun. We wrapped up the week embracing nature with a hike at Cold Spring Harbor State Park.
