Year-End Trip to Singapore & Southeast Asia

We are planning for a Supermomos trip to Singapore during the week of Dec 11, 2023 - save the date! We will have friends in Singapore who will take the group to eat delicious local food at cool places such as the hawker center featured in Crazy Rich Asians! There'll also be groups checking out speakeasies and nightlife. In addition to an amazing foodie and cultural experience, meet new friends in tech & finance in Singapore, and of course, also bond with those who are on the trip together! The trip will generally be free and easy, and we'll also help to put together groups that want to travel around the rest of Southeast Asia the following week of Dec 18. Stay tuned for more :)

What Happened Last Week

A big thank you to First Republic and Madelaine Czufin for co-hosting our female founders & funders power breakfast, along with Cometeer and launch house for their support. We had a fantastic turnout with diverse attendees from various sectors. It was so heartwarming to see women supporting women during Women's History Month!

Our fireside chat with Radha Amalraj, Head of Global Business Partnerships at Meta, and Amelie Kang, Owner of Mala Project, was so inspiring! Both Radha and Amelie concurred on learnability as the most critical quality for a successful entrepreneur. Furthermore, Radha shared a valuable framework of four questions to ask during transformative moments: 1) What am I doing right, 2) What am I doing wrong, 3) Who am I, and 4) What do I want. Thank you Singapore Global Network for making it possible!

Big thanks to our amazing speakers, Kaley Blades (Director of Marketing at Compass - a $2B protech), Jackie Anzaroot (Global Brand Marketing at Coffee Meets Bagel), and Sivan Pollak Yahel (recent Country Marketing Director at Lenovo Israel), as well as our incredible moderator, Patricia Recarte (Founder, Kado Networks, and ex-head of Finance & IR at Fever - a $2B entertainment company), for an insightful fireside chat! Some pro tips: maximize learning opportunities & embrace discomfort. Thank you Amazon Web Services (AWS) for co-hosting the event, and Robert Walters & Cometeer for supporting the community.

Last week, we also had many community-run events--from Poker nights to vegetarian food hunting. Supermomos has a community for everyone!

Vegetarian circle event

Hope to see you all at our events in the upcoming weeks! Going forward, events will now "cost" 100 momos to RSVP - but you will earn them all back (and more!!) when you mark your attendance with the host/s at the event. This is to minimize flaking and increase predictability for hosts, who are so kindly putting in time and effort to give to the community! Once you reach 0 momos, you will no longer be able to RSVP for any events. You can also earn more by hosting events yourself, participating in in-app discussions, and referring friends to Supermomos!

As always, if you'd like to co-host, partner on, and/or sponsor events, please also e-mail me at [email protected] :)

Follow us on Instagram and Twitter and LinkedIn to get up to date on even last-minute events hosted by the community, and also check out photos of past events.

Much love, Edwina
