Hey homies,

We have many new events coming up, thanks to the amazing NYC community! All VIPs with >3,000 momos get top priority for events and will get approved for almost all of them, as a thank you for contributing to the community!

We are seeking three panelists for a tech career panel on May 16th from 4-5pm, as part of our partnership with the New York Public Library's volunteer program to uplift teens in the city! Would love to see representatives from product development, sales & BD, and marketing. If you're interested in volunteering, please let us know! Spotlight Event

Female Founders Fireside chat feat. Robin Li

Get ready to learn from Robin Li, Principal at GGV Capital, at their New York office next Tuesday! Robin will share her perspectives on identifying great founders, spotting unicorn investments, trends in the NYC tech ecosystem and beyond, and more! Approvals are required to join.

Join us to learn from Ex-CTO of Resy and Ex-Head of Strategy at Foursquare (now Co-founders of Refer) about their journey transitioning from operators to founders, building from 0 to 1 to acquisition (Resy was acquired by Amex!), leveraging networks to find new opportunities (including jobs), and tips for creating a diverse, inclusive, and equitable culture!

We are wrapping up Women's History Month with the ultimate celebration of female-led consumer brands! Get ready to learn about how these founders started from scratch, get up close & personal with some cool brands, and take home lots of freebies! We will be featuring tech x fashion x jewelry x delicious dessert treats - hear from the GM/owners of Love, Bonito, Rara Jewelry, and Lady Wong ! Additionally, there will be cool refreshments & door gifts ranging from Lychee-flavored sparkling water to organic nutrient-infused toothpaste to granola to maybe even some handbags ;-)

Year-End Trip to Singapore & Southeast Asia

We are planning for a Supermomos trip to Singapore during the week of Dec 18, 2023 - save the date! We will have friends in Singapore who will take the group to eat delicious local food at cool places such as the hawker center featured in Crazy Rich Asians! There'll also be groups checking out speakeasies and nightlife. In addition to an amazing foodie and cultural experience, meet new friends in tech & finance in Singapore, and of course, also bond with those who are on the trip together! The trip will generally be free and easy, and we'll also help to put together groups that want to travel around the rest of Southeast Asia the previous week of Dec 11. Stay tuned for more :)

What Happened Last Week

Had such an empowering and energizing morning learning from the amazing Kaila J. Lim (Head of Community at The Org, the world’s biggest network of public org charts that’s raised $40M), Nick Gray (Best-selling author of The Two-Hour Cocktail Party; Founder of two multi-million dollar companies), Andrew Yeung (Global Product Lead at Google), Joy Jing (Leads Community at The Fund, an early-stage VC co-founded by Jenny Fielding, one of NYC's top early-stage investors)! We discussed everything from people culture to community building and had so much fun with Nick's icebreakers!

Hope to see you all at our events in the upcoming weeks! Going forward, events will now "cost" 100 momos to RSVP - but you will earn them all back (and more!!) when you mark your attendance with the host/s at the event. This is to minimize flaking and increase predictability for hosts, who are so kindly putting in time and effort to give to the community! Once you reach 0 momos, you will no longer be able to RSVP for any events. You can also earn more by hosting events yourself, participating in in-app discussions, and referring friends to Supermomos!
